About 80% of the world’s traffic on search engines comes from Google. So if your blog or website isn’t indexed on Google, your posts won’t show up.

First of all, let me help you understand what Indexing means.
Indexing is making sure your posts and your blog is found on search engines.
In order to index you’ll have to do certain things that will help your post get discovered when someone searches on that search engine.
I’ll be covering them in steps here so you can do it correctly.

How To Index Your Site On Search Engines : Google.
In order to index your site on search engines like Google, you will need to follow these steps.
I’ve laid them out in simple steps and by the end of the final step your site would have been indexed.
If you will follow these steps, you will have indexed your site on Google search engines and you’re ready to go every time you publish a new blog post.
Step 1 : Create A Google Webmaster Account.
I want to keep this super simple for you.
Google Webmasters is the place where you should go to actually index your content whenever you post your blog.
In order to go to Google Webmasters, click here.
You can then click on Sign In on the top and you can login using your same Google Account that you have a Gmail Account associated with.
That’s how you can set up your account.
Once you login, you’ll see this.
Now you need to navigate to the Sitemaps, the one that you see on the left pane.
Clicking Sitemaps, you can see the following where you need to submit your website.
Once you’ve added your URL, click on Submit. You’re done.
Step 2: Set Up Google Analytics.
The next thing you need to do is to actually open up a Google Analytics account.
Basically Google Analytics will help you track what’s happening with your website like tracking search performance, link clicks, audience demographics, and what extra stuff that’s happening with your site.
So in order to open up a Google Analytics, account, you can just login with your Gmail account that you generally use.
Step 3: Use Ping-O-Matic.
Ping-O-matic allows you to actually send out information to other search engines that you have new content out.
Since you are already using WordPress, your website content will already be indexed and automatically notify other sites about your new content. It will tell relevant search engines and popular update services that you have added or altered content on your site.
Step 4: Bookmark Your Content.
Bookmark means you have to actually let other external sites know that you have a blog or a website that publishes content.
So just like social networks, these gigantic sites are crawled by search engines more often. So in order to get your content noticed by search engines via bookmarking sites means that your site will be spotted more quickly and external links to your site from these reputable sources will improve your ranking and organic traffic.
Step 5: Submit Your URL To Google.
Submitting your blog URL is the best thing you can do to actually index your blog posts.
In order to do that you just need to visit, Google Webmasters and add your URL of that blog post you created.
