Starting a YouTube Channel can be nerve – cringing thing for many of you. But it doesn’t have to be.
All you need to do is to take the first step, which is to start a YouTube Channel.
Just by starting a YouTube channel, you’re going to get exposed to 1.3 Billion people.
Now, this gives you an opportunity to build a following, get your name discovered by so many people, share your message with your world, create fans, grow your blog, create Vlog’s (build trust, connections, give you exposure), learn video skills, learn editing skills, network with so many people that you couldn’t have done offline, position yourself as an expert, sell your products and services, offer your coaching services, get freelancing clients, etc
Whatever you need to do, you’ll be able to do just that with the help of a YouTube channel.
More Videos leads to more exposure, more exposure leads to more followers and subscribers, more content allows you to build a sustainable business as well as earn an income doing YouTube.
You can either choose to do it as a main business or choose to do it as a hobby or use it for the grow of your business (Like a communication medium).

#7 – You can promote affiliate products and earn commissions. (Some of them turn out to bring in passive income over the years).
#8 – You’ll make friends who have the same interest from all over the world.
#9 – As your channel grows, your income will also grow. (From Ads, product sales, affiliate sales, JV deals, etc)

How To Start A YouTube Channel: Step By Step Tutorial
At last, finally we’re here with the steps on how to start a YouTube channel.
Follow these steps and you’ll be ready with a YouTube channel by the end of this blog post. (If you follow through carefully).
Step 1: You Need To Create A Google Account.
In order to actually start a YouTube channel, you’ll need a Google Account.
Since Google is the parent company of YouTube, you actually need a Google Account.
If you don’t have a Google Account, click here to start one.
Alternatively if you already have a Gmail account, you’re good to go.
Click here and you’ll be taken to the place where you need to set up your Google Account.

Once you’ve completed that, you’ll be send a verification code.
Confirm your channel that it’s you – either by the email address you’ve entered or a phone number.
It’s pretty straight forward process. DO IT!
Step 2: Create Your YouTube Channel.
After you’ve created a Google Account, you need to follow this method to access your Channel.


Step 3: Finalize Your YouTube Channel Settings.
Now that you’re on the YouTube Channel, you need to just set a few settings that most people missout on.
Go to YouTube Creator Studio, there you’ll see a brand new channel dashboard.
This is where you’ll see your latest video performance, latest news from YouTube and your channel analytics summary (Total no of subscribers, summary of the last 28 days – views, watch time, top videos – views, and recent subscribers).

Next, on the left hand side, you need to click on settings.
A popup with pop on your screen. Here’s where you need to add your settings.






Now there are some more settings that you need to enable on the backend of your account.
So go to youtube.com/account, click that and you’ll go the following page.

Click on Channel, Status & Features. (Below Your Channel Name & Picture).
It will redirect to another page, this is the most important page you need to fix your channel monetization, live streams, longer videos, unlisted videos, embed live streams, custom thumbnails, external annotations, etc

Step 4: Design & Upload Your YouTube Channel Cover Art.
You have now started a YouTube Channel, now you should be knowing what your channel is all about.
If you don’t know it yet, don’t worry. Just create a YouTube channel cover art with your picture and mention when all you’ll be uploading videos.
In order to create a YouTube Channel Cover Art, go to Canva.
Now navigate to the YouTube Channel Art Section to create your YouTube channel cover image.
Once you’re done you can open you YouTube account and upload it.

Step 5: Upload Your YouTube Channel Profile Picture.
Once your Thumbnail is taken care of, you need to take care of your profile picture.
Your profile picture gives people the recognition about your channel.
It’s easy to locate someone’s channel just with the help of a profile picture.
In order to change the YouTube Channel Profile picture, go here.
You will have to click on your channel image on the top right, and click on manage your google account.


Tap on the profile picture and you’ll be able to change it.
Upload First Video & Tell The World
Now, that you’ve taken care of everything, you can record your with the help of camera or use your phone and get your first video out there.
Now you can upload them to your channel.
You can also go to Canva and search for YouTube Thumbnail and create one for yourself.
It’s all free.
Once you’ve created share it all over social media so that more and more people can know about your YouTube channel.
